According to Central agencies Gujarat ranks first in paddy cultivation is not
even, but his marketing system is the best. Even Sharad Pawar's ministry have

the rice bowl of the state, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab are on the
lower rungs. The current report of Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices
(CACP) shows that Gujarat is number one state in rice marketing comparison to
all 18 states, growing rice and marketing.
This
ranking is determined by the states on six parameters. In Gujarat, only one per
cent is charged on the purchase of paddy, which is market friendly and It has
been reported that protect the interests of consumers with farmers.
After
